Others have excuse, but I have my reasons why

February 27th, 2006

It seems that something i think i’ve noticed recently is that people ask for comments on their posts quite often. They have a problem, dilema, question, concern, or just a general thought that they would like an outsiders opinion on. or even if there is just something going on in their life that they would just like to have someone to comment and say, “i’m listening”. But most of the time, the posts that recieve the most comments are posts that are the more trivial of posts, the just for fun-had some time on my hands so i posted- posts.

I’ve been recently encouraged to comment on people’s blogs more. so i’ve been trying. i’m not one to usually comment on one’s blog. but i’m trying now. and when i do comment, i’m going to try to comment on the posts that are the ones that i feel are wanted to be commented on more. that are more important to the writer. well, i just posted this cause it was something to write that’s been on my mind because i had some time on my hands so i posted…

So I’m pretty sure you had somethin really good to say here, but somewhere in the midst of all those “post”s and “comment”s I got distracted from your main point. In fact, after finishing reading your entry, I decided to count them all up, to see which one won for the most used word. So if nothing else, this post of yours definitely kept me occupied for at least an extra minute or two….or really only about thirty seconds.

Anyway, the official score, assuming I caught them all:
“Post” won with an astounding 9 times of usage, whereas “comment” trailed by merely one use, with an 8. Congrats on the effort, Comment, but Post seems to be the larger point in this entry. Better luck next time.

Um excuse me, I believe there was supposed to have been an entry on a favorite food by now….

Hey Mattie. I fall into the same category of comment-slacking. Usually what deters me from commenting is the thought that I have nothing original to add. That I would just be speaking in platitudes and cliches, and that never helps people. Wow, my downstairs neighbor is laughing really loud right now. Anyway, peace to you and yours dude.
